Looking at the Moon is Steve Kortyka's 3rd album as a leader. Venturing into new territories, this album features half of the songs in a larger ensemble formation (septet) and the other half in a quartet/quintet format. All original compositions/arrangements were by members of the group and feature impeccable musicianship by some of NYC's finest up and coming musicians.

Wedding Song is Steve Kortyka's 2nd release as a leader and features 2 different quartets. Similar to the previous album the compositional approach is still contemporary jazz that is rooted in the tradition of experimentation. Marking his 4th year in New York, the evolution of his improvisatory style is becoming more and more apparent.

Steps Forward is Steve Kortyka's Debut Album as a Leader in NYC. It is a mix of standard jazz with modern compositional techniques that are sure to entertain one with a penchant for jazz. All arrangements were created from scratch and rehearsed as part of a kickstarter project which helped forge a musical pathway leading to countless collaborations that have transpired since moving to NYC.
